WeatherShield car covers provide the best protection from weather damage for a variety of vehicle types. The fabric undergoes a special treatment process using heat and pressure. This process treats the fabric fibers in a way that makes them capable of eliminating moisture and blocking other elements, such as grime and dirt, dust, bird droppings, and more. This patented process coats the fabric fibers with a thin film and creates a breathable barrier within the woven polyester fabric, both inside and out. Other brands’ coatings often only protect the outside of the fabric, but with WeatherShield all weather car covers, you get maximum protection because the coating is on both sides of the car cover. The effect is durable, long lasting protection from the elements that is thin and easy to store / transport.

In the photo to the right you can see a close-up example of how our immersive treatment process coats each fiber and fills every void with a barrier that is breathable and yet prevents permeation by dirt and other elements. Moisture underneath the cover is allowed to evaporate easily because it is breathable, eliminating any water damage. Water turns into vapors during evaporation, and the vapors are smaller than water drop and therefore easily permeate the fabric and escape from under the cover.

The fabric itself is naturally UV resistant, but for added protection we have also added our own UV inhibitors to prevent the natural wear that UV rays normally provoke.

• Water Resistant – This high quality fabric is waterproof and does not allow water droplets to permeate the fabric, but is not waterproof. A waterproof cover would not allow moisture under the cover to escape and would result in water damage to your vehicle. Our breathable fabrics prevent this while maintaining resistance to water from the elements.
• Dries Quickly - Because the fabric sheds moisture it has an absorption factor of only 2%, compared with up to 40% for standard woven and non-woven fabrics. There is no need to dry your cover, simply shake it to expel excess water and then store it.
• Breathable - Allows any heat or condensation under the cover to easily escape.
• UV Resistant - Our additives to the fabric resist the harmful effects of UV radiation and protect your vehicle inside and out.

NOTICE REGARDING DARK & BRIGHT COLORS OF WEATHERSHIELD FABRIC

Use of bright color WeatherShield fabric on light color surfaces is not recommended.

While WeatherShield fabric has undergone intensive testing, and all colors have received an AATCC test standard rating of at least 4 (out of five), to reduce the possibility of bright colors (yellow, black, blue, green, and red) transferring dye to light colored surfaces, we do not recommend the two in use together.

Q – Why is WeatherShield one of the best high-performance car cover fabrics?
A – Our patented process provides superior protection from water, dust, and many other harmful elements. WeatherShield fabric is designed for outdoor use and serves as an impenetrable barrier against pollutants.

Q - What does WeatherShield protect my car against?
A – Weather is a leading cause of vehicle damage, and to combat this constant problem, WeatherShield fabric is an all weather car cover. Never worry about the sun’s UV rays, acid rain, pollutants, dust, and many other common problems that car enthusiasts face daily.

Q - How is WeatherShield different from other car cover fabrics?
A – WeatherShield’s single layer weave makes storage and transportation easy, and the patented finish prevents absorption of moisture (less than 2% of the weight of the all weather car cover). Other car covers that claim to provide the best protection because of multiple layers can absorb as much as 40% of their weight in moisture, meaning you get less protection and must dry your cover before storing it.

Q - Is WeatherShield fabric durable?
A – With polyester as the base fabric for WeatherShield all weather car covers, you know the fabric will be durable and naturally provide protection against the elements. It is tightly woven to provide extra strength, and as a result is one of the most durable car covers on the market. Every cover comes with a manufacturer’s warranty.

Q - Is WeatherShield fabric UV resistant?
A – Polyester is naturally UV resistant, but for added protection we have added UV inhibitors to our WeatherShield product line. During normal use, you should experience maximum UV protection.

Q - How protective is WeatherShield for today’s water-based paints and clear-coat finishes?
A – WeatherShield all weather car covers work with any car finish, but we do recommend using on a clean car only. WeatherShield car covers help to fight dust and other pollutants to keep your car clean, no matter the finish.

Q - How easy is care and maintenance of a WeatherShield cover?
A – Most of our car covers are small enough that they can be cleaned in your home washer and dryer. Using just a 1/4 cup of Simple Green® concentrated biodegradable cleaner the cover can be washed in cold or warm water. Covers should always be run through at least two rinse cycles to remove all the cleaner residue. The cover can then be dried in most dryers using the "Permanent Press" settings. The warmth of the dryer actually rejuvenates finish and we recommend covers be dried an extra 30 minutes, with mild heat, after the regular dry time (see instruction sheet). When washing, it is critically important to rinse the cover thoroughly - any cleaner residue will also allow moisture to pass through the cover.
