RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY

 

At Car Cover World, we make returns and exchanges as easy as possible.  Our mission is to provide you with the best products and the best service in the industry. We understand that sometimes customers change their minds about products they order or simply need to return them.  Our goal is to make the return and exchange process as easy as possible for our customers. The products we carry on our website are handcrafted by Covercraft Industries, Coverking, and CalTrend Automotive.  As such, some return policies are an extension of the manufacturer's policies.  All products on our website, except for non-returnable items, may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the date of delivery.  Products must be clean and in their original, unused condition.  All returning items are inspected by the manufacturer and must be free of tire marks, grease, dirt, or other damage that would prevent that item from being returned to stock for resale.  Inspection is by Covercraft, Coverking, and CalTrend, and they will be the final authority as to whether the item is returnable to stock.  Items that are deemed not returnable to stock will be shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense.

RETURN/EXCHANGE PERIOD
Returns and exchanges are accepted for 30 days from the date of delivery on returnable items. After 30 days all sales are considered final.

RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. If the product you received was damaged or did not fit due to an error on our part, we will pay for the return shipping back to us. If you ordered incorrectly either online or by phone, the return shipping costs are your responsibility. We do not send out pre-paid shipping labels for incorrectly ordered items. 

RE-STOCKING FEES
As stated above, our return policy is an extension of the return policies of the manufacturer's products we sell.  As such, we charge a 20% restock fee for all returned items. However, if the item is exchanged for another item of similiar or higher price, then the re-stock fee may be waived, depending on product.  Please note all Coverking seat covers incur a 20% restock fee on both returns for exchange and return for refund. 

REFUNDS
After we receive your product, and it is deemed returnable to stock, a refund will be issued to the original payment type within 7-14 business days. The amount of your refund will be equal to the purchase price of your product less shipping and less the 20% re-stocking fee. 

EXCHANGES
Once we receive your product, and it is deemed returnable to stock, your new product will go into production. 
 
 

 

RETURN PROCEDURE

 
 

DETERMINE IF YOUR PRODUCT IS RETURNABLE
Before initiating a return, please read the return policy outlined above and verify that your product is not a non-returnable item.  

REQUEST A RETURN AUTHORIZATION (RMA) NUMBER
To request n RMA number, simply log into your account.  You will see a list of all your orders.  Click the link that says, "Request RMA" and fill out the appropriate information.  Once the RMA is submitted and approved, you will receive the RMA number by email.  Please write this number legibly on the outside of your box.  The manufacturer will not accept your product without the RMA number.  Shipments received without proper return authorization will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.  

PLEASE NOTE: Return Authorization numbers expire 30 days after issued.  Returns received after the 30 day period will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense. 


 

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

 

COVERCRAFT CAR COVERS
Car covers made from the following fabrics are not returnable: SunbrellaForm-FIt,  
WeatherShield HD, and WeatherShield HP in all colors except Weathershield HP Gray and Weathershield HP Taupe. Any cover of a non-returnable fabric that is delivered with defect will be treated as a warranty issue. Defects can include fabric, workmanship, the failure to add ordered options like Embroidery, Ford Logos, Reflective Welting, and additional reinforced grommet openings, etc. These covers will be picked up and expedited at our expense, returned to Oklahoma, replaced or corrected, and shipped back to customer.  

CALTREND SEAT COVERS
CalTrend seat covers are custom-made-to-order and are NON-RETURNABLE.

COVERKING CAR and SEAT COVERS
The following car covers are not returnable:  Satin Stretch and Autobody Armor.  The following seat covers are non returnable: Leather.

SPECIAL DESIGN COVERS
Special design covers include any cover that was custom made for your specialty vehicle through our special design department.  This includes, but is not limited to, all types of vehicles such as golf carts, street rods, kit cars, antique vehicles, customized vans, trailers, and trucks with aftermarket equipment (grill guards, push bars, roll bars, shells, exterior visors, non-factory aftermarket spoilers, ground effects packages, etc.).  We stand behind our special design work, and if there is a problem with the fitment of the cover, we will work with you until the cover fits properly.  

EMBROIDERY & SILK
SCREENING 

Products that have been customized with embroidery, silk screening, or manufacturer logos are not returnable. 

VEHICLES MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO 1950
Covercraft custom-fit car covers made for vehicle models 1949 or older, are not returnable. 

UVS HEATSHIELDS & UR FLEX SHADE SUN
SHADES

Covercraft UVS100 and Flex Shade SunScreens are not returnable. 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

Packages that were shipped to destinations outside the USA are not returnable. 

DIRTY PRODUCTS
As stated in our
return policy,  products that are not in their original condition will not be returnable to stock. 

   
 
WARRANTY INFORMATION
 

Most of the products we sell carry a manufacturer's warranty.  Each product has a slightly different warranty period as outlined on the individual product pages.  Warranty claims are typically for defects in materials and workmanship that caused the product to become unusable within the published warranty period under normal use.  After a factory inspection, the manufacturer will determine if the product meets the warranty criteria and will repair or adjust your product accordingly.   Warranty does not cover fading, which occurs naturally on all products used outdoors, or weather resistance of fabric. What if I ordered wrong?
If you ordered the wrong item, please call our office so we can help you select the right item.  If you are exchanging for the right product, we will waive the re-stocking fee.  If you are returning your product, it will be subject to the 20% re-stocking fee per the return policy.  Return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer. 

What happens if I return my product dirty?
If we receive your returned item and determine that it is not in its original, like-new condition, we will return the item to you at your expense.   

Who pays the shipping for my return?
As outlined in the return policy, return shipping for both returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.  If we have made an error and shipped you the wrong item, we will pay for any additional shipping charges.
